Opening at 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM until whatever. On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, during the noon hour we will be having a Large Cheese Burger, 8 Ounces of Choice Beef, with 2 different cheeses, sauce of your choice, Lettice, Tomato, Onion plus fries and Tea or Coffee or Soda for only $8.95. For the evening hours you can get an 8 ounce Rib Eye with Salad and Side for $15.95. And at the Bar we will be offering Corona for the low, low price of $2.50 and from the Tap 16 ounces of your choice for $1.75. A Margarita is yours for only $2.95 We will be closed from December 24th until January 3rd to give our employees a short holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

All during this week we will be offering you our Rockfish at a large reduced price: $2.00 off Rockfish Nuggets all day and night. The same $2.00 off a Rockfish Sandwich. At the bar Corona Beer will be going for the ridiculously low price of only $2.45 and Margaritas for $3.50. Come over to 51 and enjoy the best food in the Roanoke Valley.

51 Sycamore in having its winter opening starting today, Thursday and continuing through Friday with specials on a Basket of Popcorn Shrimp for only $7.00. Or you can get a basket of fried Jalapenos for the same low price. All domestic beer will be $2.00 a bottle and imported beer will be $2.50. We will also have Dark German Christmas beer for the low, low price of 16 ounces for a meer $2.50. This a two day special. So come and get them. Same good food just scalled back for better service

So many people requested us to reopen, we did. Menu is shorter but food is just as good. We open tomorrow, Friday, December 1 at 11:30 AM. Will be open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM and reopen at 5:00 PM until????? Now come and see us.

We had a lot of people trying to get into 51 Sycamore this week. Sorry folks, but we closed on Sunday the 5th. We are up for sale and have had some interested people looking. But until the money is on the table and the papers have been signed we are still up for sale. Iif you are interested please don’t forget, with 10% down and closing costs I will finance the note for the unheard of rate of 2%. As I am 88 years young chances are you'll be making payments to my grandchildren. We have seating capacity for 100 people inside and 100 plus on our partially covered patio. Tomorrow we will be serving our normally priced $15.75 Shrimp Grits for only $11.75 with a Salad. And while they last our one (1), that is ONE pound T-Bone Steak with a Side and Salad for 12.80. Our $14.75 Choice Beef Tips with a Side and Salad for only $11.50. 16 ounces of our draft domestic beer will go for $2.25 and Fire Ball Shots for only $3.50. All of these prices will last until they are gone. And don’t forget on Saturday we are having Exit 173 as our going away band and the prices for food and beverage will be cheap, cheap, cheap. We will also have a lot of extra things going on to make your night an enjoyable one and all for an $8.00 cover charge. Don’t miss our final Blast……….

The rumors that 51 Sycamore is closing are true. But we are doing it with Exit 173 playing for your entertainment on Saturday, November 4th. Cover charge will be $8.00. Although 51 is closing we are not tearing the building down. The wreckers have not been called in and the grounds will not be turned into a cotton field. It will reopen under a new theme after remodeling. I am not at liberty to disclose any information as no paper work has been signed and two different motifs are in play. Until a final contract has been signed the building is still up for sale and I will take the best of the offers. Mr. Earl, as everyone calls me, is 88 plus years old. 51 was a nice hobby but I have better things to do. I would like to make my second trip around the world traveling from Raleigh to Argentina to South Africa to Papaya, New Guinea, Thailand, Perth, Australia and via train across the country to Sydney and then to New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Tokyo and back to Weldon. A long trip for an old man! 51 will be serving our delicious food and having food and drink specials until I lock the doors on the evening of Sunday, November 5th. Hopefully your favorite dish will still be available when you visit us for the last time

Tommy McCoy, the King of Rhythm and Blues is on a US Tour from his Florida base. He will be in the Roanoke Valley at 51 Sycamore Restaurant and Rockfish Bar this Friday, October 20 from 9:30 PM until Last Call. If you are looking for an evening of good music and entertainment for a small cover, come on over to 51, let your hair down and enjoy yourself because we have a duty driver standing by if you need one.

The place is there, the cars are passing nearby and around 100,000 of them just waiting to drop their money. All they need is someone who they can give it to for a little food and drink. My problem was I couldn’t hang around to pick the money and take it to the bank every day, So if I couldn’t do it I know someone who is younger that this old 85 year old and can handle it. Put the old woman in the kitchen and you stand behind the bar and serve booze and wine to all thoseo lovely girls hanging around. The price is right the payments are cheap and this is one restaurant and bar that won’t last longl Just call Mr. Earl
